Inspire Within Devotion

Scripture

But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift of by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.”

Romans 5:15, ESV

Encouragement

The grace of God is much greater than the sins of the world. Although all people have spiritually died through the sins of Adam, God offers us a free gift to attain eternal life through Jesus Christ. Through God’s grace, we share a different story than that of the world. Our past mistakes do not define our future. We don’t have to focus on our wrongs and how we constantly miss the mark, but rather, we are reminded of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Remember, you are set free and redeemed from the weight of your sin through the power of Jesus Christ, our Savior!

Reflection

Do you believe that your faith in Christ Jesus saves you from the slavery of sin? Faith in Christ leads to true freedom. Salvation is not found by doing good and obeying the law. Though obedience is a result from our transformation of salvation in Christ, freedom is only possible with faith in Christ from His sacrifice on the cross. Praise God for His plan of redemption!
