“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.”
James 5:16b, ESV
Encouragement
A righteous person prays in faith. There is great power in our prayers because we serve a powerful God. God can do all things; nothing is impossible for Him. (Matthew 19:26) Elijah, who had the same nature like ours, prayed fervently that it would not rain for 3 years and 6 months and it did not rain during that time. (James 5:17-18) God answers prayers. Ultimately, God answers our prayers as He chooses because He knows best. May our prayers always be faithful and fervent!
Reflection
Are you asking God for something? God answers prayers. The NIV translation says that the “prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective”. Trust in the fact that God knows best. Pray fervently and seek God’s Will.
